Depending on how you use Know Me?, we may process the following information.

Profile Information

When you create a player profile, we may process:

- your chosen player name

- your profile ID

- your account ID, if you sign in

- your email address, if you create or use an account

- your avatar color or emoji

- an avatar photo, if you choose to upload one

- your friend code and friends list

- your online or last-active status

Guest players can use the app without creating a registered account. Guest profiles are associated with a randomly generated technical identifier used to maintain the profile and game state.

Gameplay Data

To provide the game, we process information such as:

- game session IDs and join codes

- players participating in a game

- questions shown during a game

- answers entered by players

- generated alternative answers

- votes and guesses

- scores and game results

- completed games and gameplay statistics

- selected game categories

This information is used to operate multiplayer games, calculate scores, display results, and maintain player statistics.

Photos

If you choose to upload a profile photo, the image is uploaded and stored so it can be displayed as your avatar in the app.

Uploading a photo is optional.

Purchase Information

If you purchase premium content or subscriptions, we may store information indicating which features have been purchased or unlocked, such as:

- premium question packs

- adult-content access

- ad-free access

We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Payments are processed by an external payment provider.

Customer Support

If you contact us through the support form, we may process:

- your email address, if provided

- the subject of your request

- the content of your message

This information is used solely to respond to and manage your support request.

We use personal data where necessary to:

- create and maintain player profiles

We do not sell personal data.

We currently do not use names, email addresses, gameplay content, profile photos, or purchase information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

Know Me? uses technical analytics functionality provided through the Base44 platform.

Analytics may include information about how users interact with the app, such as app usage and feature interaction.

Analytics data is used to understand how the app is used, identify technical issues, and improve the product.

We do not intentionally use analytics data to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Important: If analytics requiring consent is used in your region, it will only be activated in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

Certain gameplay functionality may use artificial intelligence services provided through the Base44 platform.

For example, selected gameplay inputs may be processed in order to generate alternative answers or other game content.

Depending on the game round, this may include:

- the current question

- the selected category

- the player's submitted answer

- limited game context

These inputs are used only to generate content required for the game.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate.

We do not use gameplay inputs to make legal, financial, medical, employment, or similarly significant decisions about users.

We use third-party service providers to operate Know Me?.

Base44

Know Me? is technically hosted and operated using the Base44 platform.

Base44 may process data on our behalf where necessary to provide hosting, authentication, database, file storage, analytics, backend functionality, and related technical services.

Stripe

Stripe may be used to process payments for premium features.

Payment details such as card information are processed directly by Stripe and are not stored by Know Me?.

We may receive confirmation that a purchase or subscription has been completed so that the corresponding feature can be activated.

All service providers that process personal data on our behalf are required to handle such information in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, personal data may be processed on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR

Where processing is necessary to provide the app, player profiles, multiplayer functionality, purchases, and requested services.

Where necessary to maintain security, prevent misuse, protect the service, and ensure reliable operation, provided that these interests are not overridden by your rights.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

Player profiles and associated statistics may be stored for as long as the profile or account remains active.

Gameplay data is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the game and provide the associated functionality.

Support messages may be retained for as long as necessary to resolve the request and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Purchase records or transaction-related information may be retained where required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or other legal obligations.

When you delete your account or player data, associated personal data will be deleted or anonymized unless continued storage is legally required.

Know Me? provides options within the app to delete your player data or account.

Some service providers used to operate Know Me? may process data outside Germany or the European Economic Area.

Know Me? is not specifically designed as a children's app.

Certain categories contain mature or suggestive content and may be restricted to older users.

Users should comply with the age requirements shown in the app and the applicable App Store age rating.

We do not knowingly use personal data from children for targeted advertising or cross-service tracking.

Know Me? does not currently use personal information such as email addresses or user IDs to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

If advertising or tracking practices materially change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our service providers, or legal requirements change.
